Shivapuri
The Shivapuri Lekh forms the northern rim of the Kathmandu Valley. The slopes provide much of the city's drinking water and the forests here constitute a proctected Zone for this resion.The high point of the ride. at 2732 metres,provides a stunning View of the city and its outskirte.Much of the trek is though unspoiled old growth forests of oak,rhododendron and beech. You may be lucky enough to spot deer, monkey or even jackals along the trials. the path continue through the tamang village.tamang is the local people of there. Where a gravel moter road leading to Budhanilakantha is crossed .continue up hill.on the foot trail. through an army camp and reach the ride crest at Burlang Bhanjyang.From the pass you have View of the trail that heads north into Helambu and, on a clear day, will be able to see the mountains of langtang than trek will be end.
Godavari to Pulchowki
The highest points of the Kathmandu Valley rim is the hill top at pulchowki, 2762 meters’ the base of the hill, at Godavari, is the National Botanical Gardens so trip to this part of the Kathmandu can combine both destinations.The havily wooded slopes of Pulchowki are renowned for the large Variety of birds and Butterfies to be seenWhile a moter road stretches right to the top of the hill a foot trials avoids the need to follow it for most of the climb. There are no facilities after the Botanical Gardens so food and drink muat be carried.
To reach Godavari from Kathmandu, buses leave from patan on a regular basis with taxi as an alternative.Godavari is located about 10km south from patan.The road passes through the traditional newar Village of Harisiddi on the way to Godavari.
To climb pulchowki via the foot trail, walk behind the St.Xavier's school complex and through a temple, with a large pool of water in front of it. The trail starts above this. At times steep, the trials pass through dense forest, teeming with bird and insect.
Kirtipur to Champadevi
A trek to the hilltop of Champadevi, on the southern rim of the valley makes an enjoyable outing. The hill overshadows the historic settlement of Kirtipur, one of the last of the newer strongholds to be defeated by prithivi Narayan Shah, the unifier of Nepal. Several different routes can reach the hill, which stands at 2278 metres, but the one from Kirtipur is most intresting.bus or taxi can be used to reach Kirrtipur from Kathmandu. The trekking route starts just beyond the Thai Buddhist temple at Nayabazar.
Final option is to head northwest from Champ Devi and follow the ride, which meets the ancient trade route into Kathmandu from Hetauda.The crossing points, is marked by the old ropeway that, before the first road into the valley was built, used to carry goods from near the Indian border. From here the trial desends to Thankot on the pokhara road.
Nagarjung
The hill at Nagarjung overlooks the famous stupa of Swayambhunath; better know to many as the monkey temple.
The hilltop shrine. more correctly known as jamachok,is though to be the mediation place of the Buddhist sage Nagarjung who visited the area while kathmandu valley was still a lake .There are a number of meditation caves still to be seen on the hillside, the most obvious of which is located a few hundred metres north of the starting point.u can see the nice view of the green hill and Ganesh Himal(mountain).
Nagarkot
The resort village of Nagarkot is a 32 km from the central Kathmandu.it is favorite destination for many visitors to Nepal. there were some excellent views .you can see the many many mountain from the nagarkot.it has a many many resort as well as more facilities.when the foreign people will be nepal they have to Nagarkot than they will get test of the Nepal and test of the trekking. if any people want to go to nagarkot now days you can go by car also. you can see the nice sun rise and sun set from the nagarkot.
