This is the description of a seven day trek that makes a circuit of the Helambu region. The easiest starting point for this trek is sundarijal because of its proximity to Kathmandu. You can make the trek in either direction.because it closes a loop from pati Bhanjyang, the first night stop of the trek. The preferred route is clockwise as i have described here; visit the high ridge to the west of Helambu Valley first, then go to Tarke Gyang and descend the Malemchi Khola before climbing back to pati Bhanjyang. There are all kinds of other possible variations, including a direct route to Tarke gyang from pati Bhyajyang, ending at panchkal on the Chinese road. The Helambu trek is an easy trek to organise. The trensportation to and from Sundarijal.the starting point of the trek, is fast and cheap, and the trek is at a low elevation, so you do not usually need any fancy warm clothing. There are fewer trekkers here than either the Everest or Annapurna region and hotels are abundant, good and uncroeded.
